I regularly present to corporate clients interested in strategy or support for employees, as well as parent groups, school faculty, and administrators. I’m always happy to tailor my approach to meet the needs of the group, including by designing brief surveys where audiences can share questions ahead of time. Learning Challenges
Whether sought out by parent groups, school faculty, or corporate clients providing a much-appreciated benefit for employees, information on learning challenges helps families and professionals better understand and support children’s learning needs. Topics can include an introduction to leaning challenges, or can delve into executive function, attention deficit disorder, academic learning, general organizational and study skills, and related concepts. I also assemble panels of providers like speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists who can provide audiences with an even broader look into the many factors affecting learning and growth. In these talks, I draw on my experience and training as a learning specialist.
Parent Education
Parents everywhere benefit from setting up systems and establishing practices that support their values and produce the positive outcomes they desire. These forward-looking systems and practices free parents up to focus on their children today, enjoying every stage of childhood just a little more. My approach, anticipatory parenting, helps families feel confident that their current choices are well informed by evidence-based practices that best support children’s resilience, emotional flexibility, and executive function development. These presentations focus on my work and training in education, my parent education private practice, and my own parenting experiences.
“Your expertise around children with learning disabilities, and particularly focusing on the challenges of remote schooling, was tremendously helpful to our employee parents.”
